Set includes one 750ml bottle each:

  • 2005 Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon
  • 2015 Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon

- Blend: 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot

- Growing Season: A fantastic Indian summer resulted in long hang times which allowed the grapes to mature at a leisurely pace giving us outstanding character, fabulous sugar/acid ratios and outrageous color. It was a great year all around for reds.

- Winemaker Notes: The color is holding strong, showing a deep crimson. The aromas are beautifully complex, with notes of dried black currants, toasted hazelnuts, a touch of anise, leather and forest floor. The palate is still very lively for a 15-year-old wine, showing rich phenolics, bright acidity, sweet dried cherries, plenty of tannin and good density.

- Cellaring Suggestion: Buy 6 (or more) bottles, grill up a big juicy steak, and enjoy one now. Open two this holiday season with family. Share the others over the next five years with those you deem worthy!

- Blend: 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot

- Growing Season: Yet another in a line of great vintages. The weather was very moderate during the majority of the growing season. A series of heat spikes post-veraison really got the flavors moving, pushing everything to nice full ripeness.

- Wine Notes: Aromas of cassis, ripe red cane berries, and warm vanilla beans, along with a hint of cedar draw you in. The palate entry is full and lush with juicy black plum, red currant, and a hint of dried cherries. Abundant fine-grained tannins give a full mouthfeel, complemented by sweet vanilla notes mid-palate; bright acidity throughout. Leading into a warm, spicy, and persistent finish.

Serving Suggestions: Simply seasoned lamb rib chops well seared on the grill, or a good old-fashioned juicy hamburger will be excellent companions for this big red wine. If meat isn’t for you, this wine will also pair beautifully with a rich wild mushroom risotto.
